Hi, I’m Leah, the founder of Lily Pads.

The idea for Lily Pads was born from one of the most challenging times in my life. In 2022, I experienced a year of intense health struggles after receiving a contraceptive injection. What followed was months of unrelenting, heavy bleeding that left me physically drained, emotionally overwhelmed, and searching for answers. The impact was immense—not just on my health, but on my ability to live life fully.

During this time, managing my bleeding felt like a full-time job. I found myself layering multiple products — tampons, pads, and even period underwear — just to feel secure enough to leave the house or tend to my clients at my hairdressing business. Changing everything constantly was inconvenient, stressful, and expensive. I kept thinking, there has to be a better way.

An idea forms!

That’s when the idea for Lily Pads came to me. I envisioned period underwear that wasn’t just absorbent but allowed for quick and easy pad changes without the hassle of undressing. I wanted something sustainable, discreet, and practical for anyone dealing with periods—whether light or heavy, day or night.

Lily Pads is the result of that vision!

Thankfully, my story has a happy ending. After a second surgery in early 2023, my cycles returned to normal, and a few months later, I fell pregnant with my fourth child. My husband and I now have four beautiful children, and looking back on that difficult year, I’m grateful for the strength it gave me and the inspiration to create Lily Pads.

Passion meets functionality

As a mother of four, small business owner, and someone who has faced the struggles of heavy periods firsthand, I’ve poured my heart into creating a product that’s as functional as it is thoughtful. With Lily Pads, my hope is to help others feel more confident, comfortable, and in control of their periods—without sacrificing sustainability or convenience.
